The 3D printed polycarbonate Architect’s Lamp is a sustainable reinterpretation of the archetypal Anglepoise, first designed by George Carwardine in the 1920s. The fabrication method and materiality of this object reflect contemporary technology and craftsmanship. Making the lamp involves a 3d printing robot arm that uses locally-sourced and recycled water gallons as filament, allowing for an endless upcycling of the material for future prototypes.
