SAT Tours 04: Al Shuwaiheen

Meeting point: Bait Obaid Al Shamsi, Al Shuwaiheen
Tour 04 starts in the Al Shuwaiheen neighborhood running parallel to the southern shore of the creek and made up the bulk of Sharjah town till the early 1960s, where we can still see parts of the original city souk and examples of traditional Khaleeji courtyard housing. Then we transect several key urban spaces and projects, including the modern Bank Street buildings, to finish the tour in the lesser-known residential neighborhood of Um Altaraffa.
