Susan Aylott
Susan Aylott is the founder of Animal Welfare Abu Dhabi (2015), a community-driven initiative dedicated to rescuing and caring for cats and other animals throughout the emirate. Originally trained as a medic, Aylott has transitioned into a passionate animal advocate since moving to Abu Dhabi. She also serves as the director of Animalia, a community centre and veterinary clinic in the capital. Her mission emphasises training and education, offering hands-on events, workshops, and programs for both the public and private sectors. Aylott has set up numerous cat-feeding stations across Abu Dhabi, from Lulu Island to Shahama, all managed by dedicated community volunteers, and collaborates closely with the municipality on its sterilisation program.
