Fabya Mohammed
Fabya Mohammed is an urban designer and currently the researcher and coordinator of urban programs at the Sharjah Architecture Triennial’s research initiative. Previously based in Kerala, she worked with NGOs and public institutions supporting marginalized communities facing environmental stress and systemic inequity. Her academic work during this time earned national recognition, including excellence awards from the Council of Architecture in 2020 and 2022. Trained as an architect, her research explores socio-spatial narratives, collective memory, and the sensory dimensions of contested urban spaces, using field-based, place-driven methods. She has published in peer-reviewed forums and led workshops at universities across India.
