Abanob Ataia
Abanob Ataia is an architect and designer with a strong commitment to architectural research, design, and community-focused development. He holds a Bachelor's degree in Architectural Design from the American University of Sharjah and has built a multidisciplinary practice rooted in cultural production, adaptive reuse, and environmental engagement. He currently holds the position of Architect and Project Coordinator at the Sharjah Architecture Triennial, where he contributes to the design and execution of architectural and curatorial projects. Abanob was a core member of the team behind the Triennial’s first and second editions, playing a key role in initiatives that emphasise research, community involvement, and environmental sustainability. His experience spans a range of scales and typologies from renovation projects that now house the Triennial’s headquarters to landscape design and the production of the Sharjah Art Foundation Biennial. Through his work, Abanob continues to explore the intersections of architecture, art, and public engagement within the built environment.

أبانوب عطايا معماري ومصمم كرس مسيرته للبحث المعماري والتصميم وتنمية المجتمع المحلي. حاصل على بكالوريوس التصميم المعماري من الجامعة الأمريكية في الشارقة، وترتكز ممارسته متعددة التخصصات على الإنتاج الثقافي وإعادة التوظيف التكيّفي والانخراط الواعي بقضايا البيئة. يشغل أبانوب حالياً منصب معماري ومنسق مشاريع في ترينالي الشارقة للعمارة، حيث يتولى مسؤولية تصميم وتنفيذ مشاريع الترينالي المعمارية والبحثية. كان أحد الأعضاء الأساسيين في فريق الترينالي بنسختيه الأولى والثانية، واضطلع بدور محوري في بلورة مبادرات تُعلي من شأن البحث والمشاركة المجتمعية والاستدامة البيئية. تشمل خبرته طيفاً واسعاً من المشاريع المعمارية على تنوع أحجامها ووظائفها، بدءاً من مشاريع ترميم الأبنية التي يشغلها حالياً المقر الرئيسي للترينالي، وصولاً إلى تنسيق المساحات الطبيعية والمساهمة في إنتاج بينالي الشارقة للفنون. خلال مسيرته المتواصلة، يمضي أبانوب في استكشاف حدود العمارة والفنون والمشاركة المجتمعية في إنتاج البيئة المبنية.
