JOB DESCRIPTION
Sharjah Architecture Triennial is seeking an articulate, proactive, and resourceful individual to join the SAT Communications team to support institutional efforts in all aspects of communications and audience engagement. With an overall goal of engaging and developing existing audiences of stakeholder, creative, and professional communities as well as the general public at the local, regional and international levels, this role will work closely with a range of team members to ensure that all SAT communications are in line with the institutional mission and strategic goals.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
• To work in coordination with the SAT Communication team to ensure that all communications strategies for public programming, exhibitions, community outreach, and press management are carried out smoothly and in a timely manner
• Plan, develop, implement and manage social media strategies
• To write and edit creative and engaging content for our online platforms, including newsletter, website and social media outlets
• Collaborating with the SAT graphic designer team to develop the required visuals
• Scheduling social media posts as per the requirements
• To manage social media and website engagement including responding to posted questions, comments, and messages
• To remain updated on the latest developments in online communication and publishing, and apply this knowledge toward the upkeep of our online platforms.
• To execute outreach strategies aimed at our local, regional, and international audiences and stakeholders
• To contribute to ongoing research on English and Arabic publications and media outlets to increase the reach of the Triennial across Arabic speaking populations worldwide and stay updated on regional architecture news and events
• From time to time, the candidate will also be required to perform various administrative duties from data entry, management of our records and databases
REQUIREMENTS
• A degree in communications or related field
• Minimum of 3-5 years of relevant experience in communications/social media/marketing
• Ability to speak and write in Arabic and English fluently
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong copywriting and editing skills
• Ability to deliver unique and engaging social media content
• Expertise in multiple social media platforms
• Proficiency in social media marketing tools such as Buffer, Hootsuite, Planoly, etc.
• Attentive to detail, accuracy, and quality of content
• Strong knowledge in MS Office, especially Word and Excel. Familiarity with graphics software
• Time management skills
• Ability to work under pressure and prioritize tasks
• Outstanding analytical, interpersonal, and organizational skills
• Ability to work in a team or individually as and when required

ABOUT SHARJAH ARHITECTURE TRIENNIAL
Sharjah Architecture Triennial (SAT) is a regional platform for architecture from West and South Asia to North and East Africa. Physically anchored in Sharjah in the United Arab Emirates, with Al Qasimiyah School as a main venue, it aims to engage diverse audiences and stakeholders at the neighbourhood, host city and regional levels in a collective conversation on architecture. SAT programming opens new space for critical reflection through exhibitions, publications, research, public programmes, and community-based activities, in addition to Triennial editions. Taking an expanded view of architecture and welcoming multi-disciplinary approaches, SAT extends from local to international contexts in order to question the social and environmental across multi-scalar social, cultural, and economic perspectives.
