Hive Earth Studio
Studio that combines sustainability and a desire to develop traditional, African ways of building into contemporary architecture. Founded and headed by Joelle Eyeson and Kwame Deheer, they conduct extensive research into building with rammed earth.
Christian Kwame Deheer is co-founder & Technical Director of Hive Earth Studio, with over 10 years’ experience in his field. Known for his research in the use of locally sourced sustainable materials and earth construction expertise; Christian is a pioneer and advocate for various earth construction techniques in West Africa. His recent projects include; a four-storey rammed earth office building, the Amokako Baofo art gallery and the completion of a family centre that is made from over 2000 square meters of rammed earth for an NGO in collaboration with the Swedish Chamber of Commerce in Ghana. His latest research projects include the use of local agro waste as an alternative stabilizer within construction and interior fixtures. Christian has previously worked with some of the world’s leading global architects & engineers such as Adjaye Associates, Orthner & Orthner in Ghana, Studio Wickstrom in Sweden, Archifair in Austria and Space Caviar in Venice.

يشغل كريستيان كوامي ديهير منصب المؤسّس المشارك والمدير الفني لاستوديو هايف إيرث (Hive Earth Studio)، وهو يتمتع بخبرة تزيد عن 10 سنوات في مجاله، حيث يُعدُّ رائداً تقنيات البناء المختلفة باستخدام التراب الخام في غرب إفريقيا ومدافعاً عن استمرارية هذه التقنيات، كما يُعرف بأبحاثه التي تركز على استخدام المواد المستدامة من مصادر محلية. تشمل مشاريعه الأخيرة: مبنى مكتبي مكوّن من أربعة طوابق باستخدام التراب الخام، ومعرض أموكاكو باوفو الفني، ومركز عائلي مصنوع من أكثر من 2,000 متر مربع من التراب لصالح منظمة غير حكومية بالتعاون مع غرفة التجارة السويدية في غانا. علاوةً على ذلك، يستخدم في أحدث مشاريعه البحثية المخلفات الزراعية المحلية كعامل استقرار بديل داخل التركيبات الإنشائية والداخلية. وقد عمل كريستيان سابقاَ مع بعض المعماريين والمهندسين العالميين الرائدين في العالم، مثل أدجاي أسوسياتس Adjaye) (Associates، وأورتنر آند أورتنر Orthner & Orthner)) في غانا، واستديو ويكستورم (Studio Wickstrom) في السويد، وآكيفير (Archifair) في النمسا، وسبيس كافيار (Space Caviar) في البندقية.
